SHE
I have been waiting
all night
amid the rain
and the veiled tears
My insides hurt
the warmth inside
threatens to spill out
Have grown lonely
in this tiny room
with its bare walls
Your face etched
in my mind
no, my darling
I would be loathe
to forget
If I dare hold
you in my arms again
amid the roar
of desperate sirens
Would you dare choose
to love me amid the devils
and forsake eternal beauty
as angels weep?
Part II:
HE
You are
the shadow
lingering in silence
tempting me
taunting my former resolve
The sweetness
of your fragrance
betrays the cold steel
of your eyes
If I could forsake
everything I've ever known
in my brokenness
and constant shame
I would take the keys of heaven
and lay them down at your feet
I shall wait for your return
consume me
lest I fall prey
overcome by the solace
of despair and beautiful agony.
