Poem: "Resistance"

I.

In  the days of before
when men died and bled
courage gained nevermore
it's all been done and said

II.

The sky ominous and black
soldiers with their stone faces
never to find a soul they lack
only to go into desperate places

III.

Walk subtle on hallowed ground
a newborn baby cries, freed from mother's womb
lest the agony of one's screams make a tortured sound
love me a moment longer from our beautiful tomb.

Poem: "Hot Shower and Vodka"

"Hot Shower and Vodka"

HE:

I called you on the line
three rings
no one home
been on my mind

I'm tired of sitting home
need your kind of trouble
tonight

SHE:

Step inside
my private space
to share together
a stolen moment
with you

Wet skin
subtle embrace
a kiss
ever softly

An unspoken invitation
of what could be

HE:

Hot and sticky
the hunger burns
through our desire
consuming us
in its path

Unfold slowly
stay with me now
under the cascade of water
and drink me

Until your thirst is satisfied.
