Poem: "Deep"

"Deep"

The moonlight illuminates
your face, your lovely face
as you sleep, shadows flicker
and dance amid your subtle shape

You called last night
at the bar
had a few drinks
and danced
with a handsome stranger

"I hate it when
those random cocks
think it's okay to just
come up behind me
and grab my ass."

It was 2:30
in the morning
when you knocked
on my door

Your eyes were bloodshot
your mascara all over
saying nothing
you ran over
and caught me up
in your embrace

We talked for hours
over coffee
and bad Chinese takeout

Feeling needy
you motioned to the bed
and, as you laid there
you shuddered
spreading your legs
ever so slightly

Your mouth parted
as we kissed
the heat between us
undeniable

As our bodies
intertwined
faster, harder, more
and so went the flow

Until you collapsed
into my waiting arms
bathed in sweat
sticky and satisfied
you winked as
you licked your lips

Wanting another go
knowing all along
you were in deep
from the start.
