Poem: "You Can Call Me Anytime"

"You Can Call Me Anytime"

Take my hands
walk the funeral in the rain
make no unfortune demands
lest you end up like the insane

Knock, knock
what's that you're saying
my soul's at ease
I've never worn a purple frock
don't know the con you're playing
watch out don't catch a sexually transmitted disease

Kiss me once in red
the world is open wide
time for school
someone just died
She's no one's fool

The dawn is breaking
life is in bloom
cast your vote
your faith, you are forsaking
chase the gloom
on the last note.

Poem: "The Niche"

"The Niche"

NYC temple
using in vitro
we are going to cut
harbinger of doom

ex current pension obligations
stinging blow
Senate votes
scallop boat

behind the scenes
swine flu
47 million years
practical advice

made it home
magic turn
Catholic probe

keep your nose
citing moral obligations
pets vow to attack
Snake River salmon

on the edge
desert on foot
endangered Craigslist
assisted foreclosure personals

I'm generally slow
new fencing border agents
don't ask, don't tell

still dazzling
primate Georgia
unveiled firm demands
20 to 30 civilians
allegedly are feared

I was being sarcastic
wildcat
potent
1940 coupons

lovers know
nerds are sexy
hope nobody's watching
broken glass

waiting for
ancient pet
5th grade
crocodiles.

Poem: "Into Dust"

"Into Dust"

I wish I never saw the sunshine
fame
need you tonight
boys don't cry

fire woman
dancing in the street
bittersweet symphony
buffalo stance

like a feather
flowers on the wall
rebel rebel
let her cry

rehab
cold as ice
careless whisper
songbird
I've got you under my skin
Steve McQueen.
