"Remembering The Horses"
Cold sweat
awoken suddenly
from the empty nothing
gnawing at my insides
Staring into the distance
the wind howls
erasing traces of what was
revealing the lie
hiding beneath
all those years ago
Cut me deep
let me go
allow the pain to consume
as the devils in my head
laugh in derision
The final memory left
was the music of your voice
that faded smile
as the rain wept in silence
I remember the cry
of beautiful horses
as they lie
on the cold earth
dying.

Poem: "The Lines That Do Not Fade"
"The Lines That Do Not Fade"
Red splotches on the floor
arms spread wide
silence choking the air all around
dusty walls watch in unabated weak
The words tumble slowly
chest heaving
lips tentatively parted
a final gesture
Eyes nod toward
a door as it creaks open
memories depart with the wind
in one defiant, rumble
of regret
The lines that do not fade
echo with you
a haunting reminder
of what never was.

Poem: "Can't"
"Can't"
The silence of your gaze
as it penetrates my insides
your lips, taunt with longing
as a single breath escapes
Gingerly
can't let go
beyond the abyss
Into the fire
of snarling pain
and bliss..

Poem: "Sweet Demise"
"Sweet Demise"
If I ran my hands up the length of your dress
a subtle glance, a sweet caress
would you come to the door
is unspoken desire too much to ignore
Touch, kiss
your lips
my mouth
My hands
our bodies
your thighs spread
desire beckons like a siren
as we succumb
Your love is my sweet demise.

Poem: "The Locked Door"
"The Locked Door"
Falling into
a gasping breath
memories fade
in the gaping wound
of never
Your kiss
upon my desperate mouth
lingers like the shadows
in the misty-eyed
farewell
Of a goodbye that
should have never
been uttered
in soft, teary whispers
Gone.. gone.. gone.

Poem: "Separated"
"Separated"
Underneath the discontented sky
where feeling ends
and the silent horror builds
such a perfect child
waiting to be held
Her small frame
shaking violently
like a twisted reed
in the wind
I cannot go back
as much as I would want to
it's over now, the darkness
looming with ethereal triumph
As I lay here motionless
the blood in my veins
has run cold
as my face contorts
in a final scream
never uttered.

Poem: "She and Him"
"She and Him"
She:
I am more than just a pretty face
arms, long legs
and a vagina
You make me ache so bad
it hurts to cross my legs
dust off your lust
from the corner shelf
Oh baby, I know you will
do it, right here and now
invade my private space
with your dirty thoughts
longing to leak out
Him:
Bated breath in my chest
as the moon illuminates
your perfect nakedness
warmth against mine
The world falls away
as inhibition fades
the discourse of
passionate surrender
envelops the silence
overtaking the roaring
of the neglected tides
of ambivalent Fate.
