Falling out
mom charged
hit the snooze
under the rotting tree
Fugitive sniper
murder at 2 am
drive-thru expectations
vanish slowly
with moonlight, silent and seething
Only wandering gazes
in fleeting exchange
Someone please
shut the blinds
as the moment and mood
inevitably end
Bleak and beautiful at dusk.
