"Falling Into You"

The night calls out
to the sweltering
glittering neon signs

The skyline is beautiful
with the stars streaking
across the face of heaven

The room is bare
walls are unadorned
signs of the past
everywhere

As the old typewriter
it sits idly
waiting for the words
to come

But we both know
it won't work out exactly
the way we may want it to
despite the desperation
lingering against
your window

Look to the sky
touch my face
hold my hand
and let the wonder
of us take you away
once more.
