"Oh, Little Stones"

I dream of you
and fade away
until the breath
dissipates
in the morning
of the maddening sun

Walk along
a lonely road
pictures of
the past
unswept
under the floor
of our lies

In the silence
of the dying
the little stones are
thrown
into the willow pond

Never to return..
