and touch the dark
empty spaces
and feel cold
The clouds overhead
silently wait before
a storm that never comes
as the world
holds a collective
In the morning
you stand outside my door
waiting expectantly
You smile
as you take my hand
and whisper hope
into my unsuspecting ear
Beside you
I feel whole
without you
the ravages come
like vultures
I would do
anything for you
you warm my heart
and I am forever indebted
Though we cannot
be together
I shall be devoted
to you, beloved
I will never be afraid
to be the star
