Your arms draped
on my naked chest
last night
wrapped in fragrance
and lust
your lips met mine
the heat in the room
intoxicating
the intersection
of mutual longing
undeniable
in the morning
I found you
standing alone
by the window
as tears fell
on your soft face
I touched your cheek
kissed you once
as we watched
one final sunrise
before the parting
forever caught
in the shimmering death
of beauty and fade.
